Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps JK Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd has taken — and continues to take — to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or within our supply chain.

JK Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place.

We are a UK-based M&E contractor providing electrical, mechanical, and renewable energy services across the commercial, industrial, and specialist sectors. Our supply chain includes suppliers of materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers. We recognise that the construction industry can present elevated risks of modern slavery, particularly within lower tiers of the supply chain, and we take this responsibility seriously.

To identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we:

• Conduct risk assessments of our suppliers and subcontractors.
• Require key suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
• Include anti-slavery obligations in our supplier and subcontractor agreements.
• Monitor labour practices on our sites and within our workforce.
• Provide training and awareness to our staff on the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns.

We encourage all employees, suppliers, and partners to report any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Reports can be made confidentially to info@jk-ems.co.uk. We will investigate all reports thoroughly and take appropriate action where any breach is identified.

This statement is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect our ongoing commitment to combating modern slavery in all its forms.
