JK Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd is committed to playing a leading role in the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future. We have pledged to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030 across our operations, aligning with the UK Government's legally binding target and the wider construction industry's roadmap to decarbonisation.
The built environment accounts for approximately 40% of the UK's total carbon emissions. As an M&E contractor, the systems we design, install, and maintain have a direct and lasting impact on the energy performance of buildings. We recognise our responsibility to reduce both our own operational emissions and the embodied and operational emissions of the projects we deliver.
To achieve Net Zero by 2030, we are committed to:
We actively support our clients in achieving their own sustainability goals through the specification and installation of energy-efficient systems, renewable energy technologies, and intelligent building controls. Our design approach prioritises whole-life carbon performance, ensuring that the solutions we deliver are not only efficient today but future-proofed for tomorrow.
This Net Zero Carbon Policy is championed by the Directors and reviewed annually to ensure continued progress against our 2030 target. Progress is tracked, reported, and communicated transparently to our staff, clients, and stakeholders.
